New iPad’s 3D graphics and resolution

Now that the iPad ‘3’ is finally out, I’m curious how he 3d processor will handle 3d games on the retina display.

Have to test out a Unity3D project on it as soon as I can get my hands on one here, and will post results.

It definitely makes using 3D and vector based game engines more appealing than an incredibly convoluted creative pipeline for raster. We will now all need to produce a set of HD graphics and degrade to the iPad, and iPhones without retina when working with pixels on iOs.

But if it handles 3D and vector smoothly at that resolution, it will be gorgeous!
